Understand the capabilities required for success with our new Digital Skills in Government course.

We are very pleased to announce the launch of our Digital Skills in Government course.

Run in collaboration with Global Government Forum, the course received excellent feedback from participants after its first run in March 2022. The course covers a range of subjects which aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the typical skills required within a digital organisation, why these are needed, and how these can be grown and retained. Using clear examples and case studies, it describes how existing parts of an organisation work with digital teams to further optimise delivery, and shows what may need to change to further support digital ways of working.

A broad range of topics are covered including:

● The necessary skills and capabilities needed in an organisation to deliver world-class digital services
● How these capabilities relate to each other and emerging technology areas
● Key concepts to find, retain and grow capability within digital teams
● The challenges to launching digital services without digital capabilities in place
● The different approaches to embedding digital capability within existing structures and organisations
● Approaches to procurement to underpin capability and skills growth

Digital Skills in Government is designed and delivered by Rick Stock from RS Digital who has more than 20 years experience of digital leadership and consultancy in the UK and across Europe. Having held senior leadership positions in FTSE 100 organisations and successful private equity backed start-ups he has a deep understanding of how successful digital organisations need to operate. Rick also has extensive experience of designing and delivering digital training courses, notably as the leader and designer for the first DWP Digital Academy, which went on to become the template for digital training for GDS and the wider UK Government.

The course will be running again from 11th October 2022, and you can find more details and book places from the Global Government Forum website.
